Review by Byron Coley of the Secret Songs 7" in The Wire magazine.

Not that many Scottish groups release lathe cut singles on Australian labels, but among the select elite who apparently do are National Park.

Secret songs/No More Rides (Steady Cam BFREQ002 7") is an extremely pleasant effort in a stripped down Galaxie 500/Yo La Tengo direction, manifesting the textural quietude of third album Velvet Underground without sounding exactly like anything else. Sparse, tingly and open, it breathes like a well behaved cactus.
